yAppointment SMS Gateway — Data Deletion Request
How to request deletion of data collected by the yAppointment SMS Gateway app
Last updated: 2026-08-18
Which app this page covers
This page covers yAppointment SMS Gateway, the Android app published by LohiSoft s.r.o. A business running the yAppointment platform installs it on a phone it owns, pairs that phone to its own yAppointment account with a QR code, and the app then sends that account's appointment reminders from the phone's own SIM card. The app has no sign-up of its own: there is no account to create and no password to set.
How to request deletion — step by step
Step 1 is the fastest route, because it takes effect immediately and needs no one else's help.
- Step 1 — Remove the phone from the yAppointment admin panel. Open the SMS settings of your yAppointment account and delete the paired device. This erases the device record, including the phone number read from its SIM card.
- Step 2 — Or write to us at info@yappointment.com with the subject line "SMS Gateway data deletion request", giving the name of your business and the phone number of the paired device.
- Step 3 — On the phone itself, uninstall the app. This removes the authentication token held in encrypted storage, together with any messages still queued on the device.
- Step 4 — We confirm receipt, carry out the deletion, and confirm to you in writing when it is done.
What is deleted
On completion of a request the following are permanently removed:
- The paired device record: the phone number read from the SIM card, the device identifier, and the model, manufacturer and Android version.
- The device's authentication token and its Firebase push token, so that phone can no longer connect or be woken.
- The device's connection and status history — when it was online, and its reported battery level and signal strength.
- Everything held on the phone itself: the token in encrypted storage, the app's settings, and the local queue of messages not yet sent.
What is retained, and for how long
Some records survive the deletion, because they are the business's own accounting records or because the law requires them to be kept. They no longer identify the deleted device:
- The record that a message was sent, and what it cost. This is the basis of your SMS billing and cannot be removed without falsifying an invoice. Kept for 7 years, a statutory tax obligation.
- Other operational booking data: 3 years from the last related appointment.
- No crash reports or analytics are kept about you: the app sends no diagnostic data to any third party.
If you received an SMS from this app
If you are the recipient of a message rather than the operator of the phone, the business that sent it is the data controller for your phone number and your appointment — not us, and not this app. Contact that business directly to have your details deleted. If you do not know who to contact, or the business does not respond, write to info@yappointment.com and we will identify the sender and pass your request on.
How long it takes
We acknowledge every request within 5 working days and complete it within 30 days of verifying who you are, in line with Article 12 of the GDPR. If a request is unusually complex we may extend that period, and we will tell you why before the 30 days are up.
