How yAppointment started
The problem we kept seeing
It started with a simple frustration. We watched small business owners — brilliant at what they did — drowning in software complexity. A massage therapist managing three apps just to run her schedule. A dentist who spent 40 minutes a day not treating patients, but wrestling with disconnected systems. A personal trainer who could afford neither the time nor the cost of the enterprise tools that would actually help.
The booking software market was crowded — but it wasn't serving these people. The "free" options turned out to cost 20% of every transaction. The established players demanded 12-month contracts and charged enterprise prices. And support? Good luck getting a reply.
A different kind of product
We decided to build something different. Not another booking tool that looked good in a demo and fell apart in daily use. Something that would actually work for a sole-trader hairdresser, a 5-person dental clinic, and a dog groomer with 200 regulars — all at once.
We built our backend from scratch — purpose-built for appointment businesses, engineered to run on a fraction of the resources that off-the-shelf frameworks require. We designed ten AI assistants because most business owners don't have IT support. We kept the price at €10/mo because we believe good software shouldn't be a luxury.
